6. October 2026: Coffee, school, homework, and horror

As I’m writing this first part it’s 11:17 AM. I’m at the library drinking a coffee. Checked into study hall this morning and then walked downtown and worked in my favorite cafe for a few hours, until my computer died (×_×).

I’m taking an online marine science course this year, which sounds cooler than it is unfortunately. We’re nearing the end of chapter two and still haven’t gotten past reviewing the scientific method and the water and nitrogen cycles (-_-). But anyways I did as much as I could. I’ve gotten to the first experiment (which has something to do with an egg for some reason…?) and so I’ll have to wait until I get home to do any more.

Since I got to the library I’ve done both of my History readings, which were really short this time. I have to wait until I get home to do tomorrow’s assignment because I need to print something off for it and while I think there are printers here somewhere idk how to use them ╮(O_O)╭.

Yeah, so now I’ve got some German homework to do. I don’t have to start walking back until 1:00 PM/13:00 so I’ll probably finish that, and then I can do some artsy stuff or something. At 2:00 PM/14:00 I have an English class. I don’t think that we’ll do much because that class is usually pretty uneventful. My teacher mentioned something about telling him which novel we’ve picked to read in yesterday’s Economics class. So apparently that’s happening, honestly wasn’t paying much attention lol. But anyways I guess I’ll just say The Shining because lowkey I’m already reading it but shh… ( ̄b ̄)

I’ve got kind of a weird relationship with horror but I’ll ramble about that later because at this point it’s 11:30 AM so I should start working on my German homework. I’ll be back later with an update.

Okay, so it is now 4:15 PM/16:15 and I just got home from school. I finished my German homework and then walked back to school, ate some SpaghettiOs, and went to English. Then my mom and I went to the Civics Center because she had to vote on this local issue. My sister wasn’t with us because she has track practice. And… then we drove home.

Once my dad and my sister get home we’re going to go meet my cousin downtown and give out these gift baggy things that we made for homeless people. My dad’s on the board of this organization that does some charity-type stuff. It’s like his retirement thing I guess. But anyways each of them has some hygiene products, a few granola bars, and a pair of socks, and also we have some little bags of dog food that we’re going to give to anyone who has a dog with them (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶).

About this earlier mention of horror. I’m not exactly sure why I brought it up but I guess I’ll elaborate. It’s like a love-hate relationship I guess. Half or more of what I read is probably horror. On one hand I don’t like it because it makes me feel all paranoid, grossed out, anxious, etc. and on the other hand I’m lowkey addicted to it and it’s so goddamn interesting and idk I love it ⊙ω⊙. Probably a common thing I’d guess. I’ll stop rambling now.

ALSO- I forgot to mention this until now but I just remembered. Dr. B emailed me back!! ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و Turns out he doesn’t hate me after all (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶). It also turns out that I do indeed need to use a separate email address to access the Google Drive stuff. He gave me the email for tech support and I emailed them literally six seconds ago.

Okay, I’ve got to go. I will return… (◔_◔)

Hello again!! My dad went to vote too so he came home alone and then we drove to the school to pick up my sister. We drove downtown and did all the things. It was fun. Then we went to this pizza place and we got lemonade (๑╹ڡ╹๑) (and pizza ofc). We got home at about 8:00 PM/20:00.

Tech support replied right away with the email address I need to use, and… I finally have access!! (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)و  I finished my History homework and now I’m going to watch this lecture video and take some notes, and then hopefully finish Thunderbolts*, which I started last night.

Also I forgot to mention earlier that I saw one of my German classmates at the cafe. I’m not sure exactly where he’s from but he has some kind of British accent. Also he’s a music professor at the college and he’s super nice (ᵔᵕᵔ). He asked me if I was studying for the next German quiz and then we had a sort of awkward exchange because we’ve never really spoken before since he started late and has only been to a few classes so far. He got a burrito and then left. There were lots of cool people at that cafe today (⌐■_■).

Btw sorry that this one’s a bit of a mess (ᵕ•᷄ ᴗ•᷅ ). I probably shouldn’t have written it in so many small chunks but what can I say, I got excited.
