4. November 2026: GUYS WE WON!!

Democrats have taken both the house and the senate, plus we have our first openly gay senator!! Now let us hope that they are competent and that this fascist hellscape will come to an end. Finally there is hope and if I wasn’t in public when I read the election results I would’ve done a happy dance. Of course we will have to wait until January for things to actually get better, but finally there a light at the end of this tunnel.

Also I forgot to mention this in yesterday’s post, but my sister somehow convinced me to sign up to do tech for our school’s play. We’re doing Finding Neverland this winter, which I am excited about because Johnny Depp’s one of my favorite actors. I said that I could either do stage crew or makeup. I’ll probably end up doing stage crew because my sister said that they only have makeup people on the middle school plays usually, since most of the high schoolers do their own makeup, and that more stage crew people are always needed.

Last night after I finished writing my blog post, I watched Josh Johnson’s latest video about the rallies. I was so happy to find out that Obama showed up. I watched the actual videos of the rallies later today and I really do miss when we had a competent, coherent president that brought people together instead of tearing them apart. It’s nice to see a political person who actually cares about people.

This morning I got to the college really early, around 9:00 AM, so that I could go to the college library and finish my German homework. History started at 10:30. The professor gave a lecture on the Han dynasty. German was pretty boring.

My dad picked me up. We went to lunch, and then he drove me to my high school. English was also pretty boring, though we did talk about the Black Plague a bit so that was kinda interesting. Why we did that, I don’t know. I guess whatever we’re reading next is going to be somehow related to the Middle Ages.

After I got home I had some box risotto for dinner. I sat by the fire for a while and then went up to my room, which is started to get kind of cold because one of the walls is not well insulated or something, idk. I like it at night, because it makes me feel all cozy in my blankets. But when I am trying to sit at my desk or get up in the morning it’s not so good.

I watched the aforementioned rally videos and ate some candy that I got from Halloween. Then I disassembled my Samhain altar. I gave Stella’s offering to the dogs and buried the offering to my grandma in the yard by the raspberry bushes, except for the stuff that got on my fingers, which I just ate. I have read that it’s okay to do this, and that it’s in fact the proper way in many, many traditions. Spirits consume the essence, and then give what is material back as a gift. I put the photos in an envelope that I put in my altar table’s drawer for next year. The Mason jar picture frames, crystals, and gourds are still on the table because I don’t know what to do with them. Everything else has been put away.

As promised, I am soon going to be making a post about my Samhain altar. I wanted to wait until taking it down to do that, and now that I have, I may write that later tonight. The Totoro teapot will be featured as well (see: 9. October 2026).

Hello, this is “later tonight” me. Behold, the post: My Samhain Altar {2026} (feat. photos of my Totoro teapot).

That is all, ladies, gentlemen, and enbies. Good night.

Also I’m so sorry that Kaomoji isn’t in this post. He had to take a vacation day because it is really late and I should be sleeping by now and really don’t have the time to edit this. Don’t worry though, he’ll be back tomorrow.

Make me and Kaomoji very happy ₍₍⚞(˶˃ ꒳ ˂˶)⚟⁾⁾:
